Features

How EMAnalysis helps

Finding similar listings manually takes time. It is even harder to know which price to use as a reference and which words to use in your title. EMAnalysis shows the information you need directly in the extension window: select relevant listings, see a price range and explore search results.

From the extension window

Search results analysis

Enter a search phrase to see the category, prices, sellers and words that often appear in listing titles. If eBay provides sales information, that is shown too.

Choose useful words and see which listings contain them. This helps you write a title that clearly describes the item and matches your search.

On an eBay listing page

Listing analysis

Open an item on eBay and start the analysis. The extension finds similar active Buy It Now listings and shows the price range, postage, item conditions and sellers.

You can see every listing used in the calculation. Remove any that do not fit, or add suitable listings the extension left out. The price range updates immediately. Then enter the purchase price, expected sale price and your costs to estimate potential profit and return on investment (ROI).

If postage is unknown or too few similar listings are found, the extension tells you. Unknown postage is not treated as free, and an uncertain result is not presented as accurate.

About the data

How the price range is calculated

The price range comes from the active listings shown in the comparison. Postage is added when its cost is known. You can open every listing and change the list.

The extension shows prices from active listings. These are not prices from completed sales or a recommended price. The number sold is visible only when eBay provides it.

Deal calculator

Estimate potential profit before you buy or sell

Enter the expected sale price, buyer discount, purchase price, fees, advertising, postage and other costs. The calculator shows the expected sale price, total percentage costs, potential profit and ROI.

The listing price initially comes from the median of the selected listings and updates with the price range until you change it manually.

You can save recurring costs for each category. Fees and other costs are not filled in automatically, so use your own figures.

What is sent for analysis

The extension sends only the data needed for the action you choose: the item number and eBay marketplace for an item analysis, or the search phrase and marketplace for a search analysis. You do not need to connect an eBay account.

Your selected listings, calculator values, saved costs, comments and analysis history stay in Chrome and are not transferred to other devices.

A problem report is sent only after you confirm it. Before sending, the extension shows which diagnostic data will be included.

Questions and answers

Frequently asked questions

Which marketplaces does the extension support?

Once published, the public beta will be available on all 16 supported eBay sites. The extension supports nine languages. The language normally follows the eBay site you use. If Chrome is set to Russian, the extension uses Russian.

Do I need to connect an eBay account?

No. Analysis works without connecting your eBay account. Some eBay pages that show sales statistics may ask you to sign in to a seller account.

Does the extension show what an item actually sold for?

No. The extension compares prices in active listings. The number sold is shown only when eBay provides that information.

Does the extension calculate eBay fees automatically?

No. You enter the purchase price, expected sale price, fees and other costs yourself. The calculator uses those figures to estimate potential profit and return on investment (ROI).

What if the extension chooses an unsuitable listing?

Remove it from the comparison. You can add it back if you change your mind. The price range and profit estimate will update immediately.

When were the prices updated?

The result shows when the data was received. Select Refresh to check the prices again. If only saved data is available, the extension will warn you that it may be out of date.

Do I have to pay for the public beta?

The public beta will be free when it launches. If paid options are added later, we will show the price and terms in advance. We will not charge you unless you agree first.
